Finished one at last

finally finished a drawing! (celebrates with f̶o̶u̶r̶ one large amaretto and coke)
it's only been about 6 months since I started it so not bad going (ahem)

now to finish all the other half complete drawings . . .

another dog *sigh*

this week i have mostly been drawing a dog,  most of my drawing life seems to be spent drawing a dog. frantically trying to get it finished for father's day on sunday, as its a gift for my dad (he had to have the dog, Meg, put down a few weeks ago)
just go to finish her face, her neck, her body, the background. . . pretty much all of it . . .

carrelet update . . .

i have been neglecting the carrelet drawing recently and getting distracted by new work (amongst many other things, most of which involve mojito drinking...)
still got a lot of work to do until it's finished, mainly adding depth and texture to the picture, but i'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

i don't have any other commitments for a while so it WILL be finished by next week. . .

i've surprised myself as i'm actually quite enjoying drawing this, i thought i'd get tired of drawing straight lines, but it's been therapeutic almost.

i may not feel the same way once i've done some more . . .

this month i will mostly be drawing animals . . .

Sorry for the animal medley, but this is also something that I've been working on this month. It's for a friend's mum whose dog passed away earlier in the month.

and for some unknown reason I decided to draw it on an A2 sheet of paper rather than a smaller piece of paper . . .

Going to be working on a few different things over the next few months (near the top of the list is to get this blog looking like I want it to!) . . . keep your eyes peeled.

On the subject of eyes, my right eye has been going a bit funny today, it keeps blurring up. I blame the sunshine, it's been so long since I've seen any, my eyes (or eye) can't cope!

I'm having a break from cat drawing and have started drawing a horse instead (yet another gift). Quite fitting really with the Grand National being on.

I'm working on a few things at the moment, alongside teaching myself how to do this blog. I have never been very good with technology, so this is quite a challenge for me!

This is one of the many things that I'm drawing at the moment, it's a gift for a friend, and there are a million other things I should be working on but sometimes you have just got to ignore responsibility and do the things you want to do! I'll admit it looks a bit odd without the eyes, but so far so good...
